I promise this is the same horse. He has turned out to be the best horse I could have ever asked for. He's great around the kids has a heart of Gold and has found a forever home.
canker- I followed this link from Fugly and hope this applies! You asked about canker. I did a quick google search and it sounds like more than just a little abrading of the hoof is required to heal a case of canker. I remember reading about it in old horse texts and treatement has come a long way. It generally requires systemic drugs as well as topical drugs.
